Working in the poorest communities to bring hope and transformation.
The heart of Mercy Outreach is to see the transformation of communities; to bring hope in hopelessness. Finding innovative grass roots ways of empowering people in communities, from children through to adults.
We are present in Nepal, China, Hong Kong and Myanmar to bring transformation to the lives of some of the poorest people in those communities. Our work reaches, among others, women trafficked into sexual slavery and to be sold as brides, street children and underserved communities. Mercy Outreach has no paid staff in the UK or Denmark and all money donated to the charity goes directly to support the projects.
To bring hope in hopelessness through our projects across Asia.
To implement holistic social projects to meet the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of those in the communities that Mercy Outreach’s projects serve. The physical needs are often the most obvious and therefore are addressed first. Psychological needs are addressed by showing people that they have value and developing their self-esteem. Spiritually, Mercy Outreach believes that hope and transformation come from God and that social work is rooted in a local church.
Mercy Outreach builds local projects led by local people. When our founders start work in a new country, they identify passionate local staff who can become leaders, train them, equip them and help them to implement their ideas and vision. This builds sustainable projects and leaders.
